If you’ve been around toxic people, you’ll know what it’s like. These people will pollute everything and everyone around them.
For every positive thing you say, they will throw two negative ones at you because they’re just being “realistic”, you know?
When you say, “Good morning,” they will ask, “What’s so good about the morning?”
Heck, they even can make you feel guilty for feeling good! When they see that you’re visibly happy, they will say things like, “Jesus never smiled in His entire life. Should you not feel bad for being happy now?” ?
However, I don’t think they have anything against you. It’s in their DNA, almost like a calling. Ergo, please don’t waste time trying to change them. It’s sacrilegious to even think of it!
So, how?
When you meet someone like that, don’t hesitate to fumigate. It is necessary, and even vital, to set standards for your life and the people you allow in it.
You see, getting people into your life is easy. But getting them out? Hell, no! So, for goodness sake, be selective.
You can love them, forgive them, want good things for them… but still move on without them.
You don’t have to invite people who don’t celebrate you to your party.
So, yes. It’s your life, and you have the right to be exclusive.
