Quit like a Millionaire

That’s the title of the audio book I listened to during my run today.

It’s written by a young Chinese lady by the name of Kristy Shen. Born into abject poverty in China, Kristy became a millionaire by the age of 31.

No, she didn’t do it by joining some get-rich-quick schemes, starting some Snapchat apps, or what-not. But by pure hard work, no-nonsense, do-the-work mindset.

I’m surprised by how her scarcity mindset actually helped her become what she is today. Scarcity mindset is not something I believe in. But I hate to agree with her on this.

A great book to read, and/or listen to. Especially for the millennials!

Below are some of her quotes which I’ve always subscribed to:

“The key isn’t to “think yourself rich,” or “think positively,” or “be in tune with the energy of the cosmos.” I’ve read those books, tried their advice, and none of them worked.”

Kristy Shen

“Getting rich isn’t fast or easy. Anyone who tells you otherwise had advantages or is trying to trick you into giving them money.”

Kristy Shen

“At the end of the day, it isn’t about money, it’s about time – and how to use it wisely to live the best life possible.”

Kristy Shen

Do yourself a favour. Go get the book.
