It doesn’t make sense to make a key and then run around looking for a lock to open.
The right solution is to find a lock and then fashion a key.
Unfortunately, many companies, even the billion-dollar ones, are doing the former. They develop what they think the market wants and then ask their salespeople to look for customers to sell to.
And when there are no sales, they blame their salespeople or keep giving promotions after promotions to prove what they’ve developed is what the market wants.
Is it not easier to make products and services for the customers you seek to serve than it is to find customers for your products and services?
But alas, common sense is not so common after all.
