Without conflicts, Life would be boring

Are you facing some conflicts lately? Take heart. For your promised land is near!

Some of you will disagree with what I’m about to say. But hear me out.

Subconsciously, we like conflicts.

Imagine watching a movie where the protagonist’s life is smooth-sailing.

Or your superhero has no weaknesses.

You may enjoy watching it initially. But after a while, you will ask, “Is that all?”

Which blockbuster movie or drama did you like that’s without conflicts? Conflicts are the stuff (a.k.a. challenges) that prevent our heroes from achieving their goals.

Without conflict, we will not grow into them, and consequently, there is no reason we should root for them.

Conflict seeks resolution. It’s the resolution that keeps us wanting to watch on. For who doesn’t want a happy ending?

So yes. We like conflicts.

Conflicts make our life fun. Without them, victories become boring, and we won’t grow even if we achieve our goals.

Conflicts are signs saying we’re on the right track or near our promised land.

If you’re familiar with the Bible, you know how the children of Israel faced giants before entering into their promised land – a land flowing with milk and honey.

No. I’m not suggesting that you go seek out conflicts unnecessarily. I’m suggesting that if you’re currently facing them, take heart. Your promised land is near.
