You May Have Brain Damage

Some of you will not believe what I’m about to tell you.

And that’s okay. You have good reasons not to. But I hope you’d still read on.

Most, if not all of us, may have some form of brain damage.

When we think of brain damage, we usually think of a physical head injury impairing a person’s thinking ability. But a knock on the head isn’t the only way to “impair” our brains.

If we think in broader terms, brain damage can then be caused by anything that physically changes our brains to make us less intelligent and functional.

So, other than a knock on the head, what can physically change our brain?

Learning.

Whenever we learn something new, our brain physically changes. The more we learn, the more changes get stacked on top of the previous ones.

Therefore, if you’ve been consuming practical and helpful information, good on you.

On the other hand, if you’ve been consuming fake and useless information, this knowledge will also stack up, albeit not in your favour.

So, what gives?

Junk learning damages our brain, making us more prone to junk learning, damaging our brain even more. It’s a vicious cycle.

Therefore, be careful of the information you consume daily, especially those from the internet.
