Life is not fair. Deal with it.

Life is like a bowl of soup. Some are born with a silver spoon in their mouth, but some are born with a fork.

Although all roads lead to Rome, some are born in Rome.

Bad things do happen to good people and good things to bad people.

Some people spend their whole lives on unpaved roads, while some on streets paved with precious stones.

Some are born to a house with twenty servants, while some are born as servants.

In other words, let’s face it: life is unfair.

Heck, most of us even knew how to scream “It’s not fair!” before learning to speak properly.

So, what gives?

If you happen to be on the lucky side, I’ve got nothing much to say to you, you lucky son-of-a-gun!

Count your blessings, and appreciate those who are not as fortunate as you.

But if you happen to be on the unfair end, below are two things you can consider doing:

1) You can resign to this fact, blame God, your parents and the government, and be miserable all your life; or

2) Instead of looking at life as a series of inequalities, you look at it as a series of experiences that make you a stronger and a better person. A person of character – a character so irresistible that even the born-lucky ones want to be like you!

So, yes. You may be born into a sad story, but you can turn it into a happy ending.

Happy go-create-your-own-luck Friday, peeps!
